Trebinje's old town Trebinje’s Old Town has emerged at the beginning of the 18th century on the coast of the Trebisnjica River. Current Old Town - Kastel - has been developed from former centre of trade and craft. In the Old Town, on the foundations of Roman, medieval and Turkish town, an Austrian military camp was built at the end of the 19th and at the beginning of the 20th century. Today it houses the museum of Herzegovina.
